Frequently Asked Questions

What is coaching?

Despite the common use of the word “coach” to describe a person who teaches or advises others in a specific skill, a life coach is actually something different. A true professional life coach may be trained based on professional standards set forth by an organization such as the International Coach Federation. These standards define coaching as “partnering with clients in a thought-provoking and creative process that inspires them to maximize their personal and professional potential.” Life coaches don’t tell their clients what to do. They guide exploration with the goal of helping their clients move forward. Coaching in this manner is more effective than simply advising, because it allows the client to take ownership of the process and the results. Where does coaching happen?

Coaching sessions are usually done over the phone or web-chat, but may be done in person for local clients in the Temecula area of Southern California.

What kinds of clients do you work with?

I coach women by themselves and/or couples; I do not coach men by themselves. My clients are generally in a committed relationship heading towards marriage, already engaged, or married; they may have children, or not.  I also coach single moms. I am happy to coach fellow rainbow fish.

What does coaching entail?

I offer open-ended coaching packages for all types of clients. This means that coaching sessions will be guided by the client, and we will focus on whatever the client wants to focus on at that time. My packages are described in detail below.

I also offer structured coaching packages for pre-marital couples and expectant (pregnant) couples. These packages include a set number of sessions which will focus on pre-determined topics. However, coaching is still client-directed, because our discussion will focus on where the client is and wants to go within that area. My pre-marital and expectant couples packages are also described in detail below.

In any coaching session, you can expect to be asked thought-provoking questions, listened to with care, and encouraged to think creatively about choices and solutions.

How much does coaching cost?

Remember that coaching is an investment towards living your best life!

My packages are listed here, and include prices. I offer payment plans or an upfront payment discount of 10%. If you choose a payment plan, I will ask for a deposit upon booking our first coaching session, and the remaining balance will be due in installments, to be completed before the final session.
